Renee’ M. Gilbert, Practice Administrator

A native Californian, spending her formative years in Detroit, Michigan, Renee’ migrated to San Diego in 2003. She began her career as a Dental Assistant and moved up the ladder into management over the past 30 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as the ultimate goals of extraordinary customer service and teamwork to Park Dental Arts joining our team in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends. Favorite activities include traveling, cooking, reading, live jazz and the NBA.


 

            Louella Buyson,  Front Office Coordinator

Louella was born in the Phillippines Islands. As an only child, she is very thankful to have great supportive parents. Her father was in the U.S. Navy and moved the family to San Diego when she just a little girl. Louella graduated from Concorde College with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She joined our team in March 2009 as our Front Office Coordinator. She will greet you with her infectious smile and engage you in pleasant conversation during your visit. She is currently attending classes moving towards her goal of obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree. Louella loves spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters.


 

            Monet Martinez,  D.A  Front Office Coordinator

Monet was born and raised in San Diego. She is the 8th of 14 children. She graduated from United Education Institute in 2003 earning her Certificate of Dental Assisting. Monet began her career in the back office but has been working in the front office since 2004 year. Monet joined the Park Dental Arts team in October 2008. As our Insurance Coordinator, Monet handles all that is insurance…from verifying your dental coverage and benefits before your appointment to billing and following up on all insurance issues. Together Louella and Monet will assist you with all your scheduling needs and answer any questions you may have. Monet enjoys spending time with her daughter as well as singing, reading, going to the beach and having fun with family and friends.


 

            Patrizia Deck (Pat),  Dental Assistant

Pat is from Naples, Italy. She and her family moved to the U. S.,, while she was in high school. Along with her native Italian, Pat became fluent in Spanish and English. Pat graduated from the Navy dental assisting school in 1980. She then proceeded to work at MCRD Dental Clinic for 10 years. Marriage and two beautiful children created a seven year hiatus from her career. In 1997, Pat began working with Dr. Curtis and has been a very valuable team member ever since.Pat enjoys exercising at the gym and walking. She loves spending time with her family, shopping and helping others.


 

            Norma Avalos, Dental Assistant

Norma was born in Baja California. In 2000 she moved to the United States and after high school, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Norma graduated form United Educational Institute with a certificate in dental assisting in April, 2005. Fortunately for everyone, she was assigned to Dr. Curtis’ office, for her externship. Her early display of dental knowledge and dental assisting skills resulted in a offer for a long term position in the office.She and her husband have an adorable little boy who was born in 2005. . Norma is fluent in Spanish. Her hobbies are spending time with family, going to movies, visiting parks, and she loves Mexican food.


 

            Aurora Garcia – R.D.A.

Aurora was born and raised in Chula Vista. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute  and received her RDA in 2008. Aurora joined our team in 2009 and will make sure you are very comfortable during your visit. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves kickboxing, watching sports and swimming.


 

            Judith Richardson, R.D.H. Dental Hygienist

Judi started in dentistry as a part-time assistant in high school, trying to determine a career choice early! Being a native San Diegan , she took her pre-dental hygiene classes at San Diego State University. She then received her Bachlelor of Science degree from Loma Linda University. Judi was chosen out of 250 applicants to be one of 24. She has practiced full-time for about 40 years in private practice and remains committed to her profession, employer and patients. With well over 1200 continuing education credits her knowledge and skills have evolved with the ever changing dental profession.


 

            Vynga Tran, RDH, Dental Hygienist

Vynga is a published Research Associate, completing various research projects in the field of Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Her work has been published in scientific journals including the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Journal of Dermatological Sciences. Vynga  is dedicated and committed to providing quality care and education to her patients. She is a volunteer dental hygienist at St. Leo's Church in Solana Beach, providing dental care to children from low income families. Vynga has also participated in many charity fundraising events. In her spare time, she likes to do jigsaw puzzles, practices Tai Chi and is a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.


 

            Mary Ann Rivera, Dental Hygienist

Mary Ann is the 5th of 7 children in her family native to San Diego. She has been involved in the dental field since 1980 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She continued her education by completing the Southwestern College Dental Hygiene Program in 2004 and is now a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is currently a member of the Dental Hygiene Program Advisory Committee at Southwestern College as well as a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

Together with her husband, Aurelio, they have six children and three grandchildren, three who are still at home: Vincent whose heading to off to UC Santa Cruz, her daughter Alissa a very accomplished young lady starting her junior year in high school, and lastly Adan, her 2 year old ball of energy. In her spare time…oops.. She HAS no spare time! She still manages to be there for all family events including track and cross-country meets, soccer and baseball games. Hobbies include, watching the NBA and salsa dancing with her husband.


 

            Niccila Eddings, R.D.H. Dental Hygienist

With her graduation from the Dental Hygiene program, completion of the National Board Exam and the California Dental Hygiene Clinical Exam, Niccila has been providing primary care to patients for 4 years now.  She earned an Associate in Arts degree in 1999 and an Associate in Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005. Niccila stays current with the advancing technology and new information involved in the dental field through continuing education courses. She also plans on advancing her education to receive her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene.

Aside from her commitment to dental hygiene, Niccila enjoys spending time with her fiancé , Jason, and their puppy, Asti. New to San Diego, they are enjoying the urban life of downtown. She loves the growing artist community and entertainment destination, encompassed by galleries and dining out. With
Jason's culinary knowledge as a chef, dining in is also exciting! Niccila is elated to call San Diego 'home' and looks forward to a fulfilling a successful future.
