A native Californian, spending her formative years in Detroit, Michigan, Renee’ migrated to San Diego in 2003. She began her career as a Dental Assistant and moved up the ladder into management over the past 30 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as the ultimate goals of extraordinary customer service and teamwork to Park Dental Arts joining our team in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends. Favorite activities include traveling, cooking, reading, live jazz and the NBA.


 

            

 

 

 

 

 

Louella Buyson 
Front Office Coordinator

 

 

 

 

Louella was born in the Phillippines Islands. As an only child, she is very thankful to have great supportive parents. Her father was in the U.S. Navy and moved the family to San Diego when she just a little girl. Louella graduated from Concorde College with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She joined our team in March 2009 as our Front Office Coordinator. She will greet you with her infectious smile and engage you in pleasant conversation during your visit. She is currently attending classes moving towards her goal of obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree. Louella loves spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters.


 

           

 

 

 

Lizbeth Chavez
Insurance Coordinator

 

 

 

Liz was raised in beautiful South Bay, San Diego. She enjoys spending time with her family and proud to have a large family where family reunions are never boring.  Her best season is summer, enjoying the sun and the beach.  In 1992 she explored dentistry and fell in love with the dental world.   Liz has experience in endodontic, orthodontics and as well as general dentistry, assuring you confidence in handling your financial and billing needs.


               

 

 

 

 

 

 

Patrizia Deck (Pat)

Pat is from Naples, Italy. She and her family moved to the U. S.,, while she was in high school. Along with her native Italian, Pat became fluent in Spanish and English. Pat graduated from the Navy dental assisting school in 1980. She then proceeded to work at MCRD Dental Clinic for 10 years. Marriage and two beautiful children created a seven year hiatus from her career. In 1997, Pat began working with Dr. Curtis and has been a very valuable team member ever since.Pat enjoys exercising at the gym and walking. Norma Avalos
Registered Dental Assistant

 

 

 

Norma was born in Baja California. In 2000 she moved to the United States and after high school, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Norma graduated form United Educational Institute with a certificate in dental assisting in April, 2005. Fortunately for everyone, she was assigned to Dr. Curtis’ office, for her externship. Her early display of dental knowledge and dental assisting skills resulted in a offer for a long term position in the office.She and her husband have an adorable little boy who was born in 2005. . Norma is fluent in Spanish. Her hobbies are spending time with family, going to movies, visiting parks, and she loves Mexican food.


        

 

 

Lacy Sampson

Lacy was born and raised in San Diego. She graduated from United Education Institute in 2004 and continued her education at UCLA and received her RDAEF license. Lacy continues to strive to further her education and knowledge of dentistry. She loves to put patients at ease and make every appointment an enjoyable experience. Lacy enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters and family and friends. She is passionate about health and fitness as well as cooking for family and friends.


 

         

 

 

 

 

 

Vynga Tran
Registered Dental Hygienist

 

 

 

 

 

Vynga is a published Research Associate, completing various research projects in the field of Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Her work has been published in scientific journals including the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Journal of Dermatological Sciences. Vynga  is dedicated and committed to providing quality care and education to her patients. She is a volunteer dental hygienist at St. Leo's Church in Solana Beach, providing dental care to children from low income families. Vynga has also participated in many charity fundraising events. In her spare time, she likes to do jigsaw puzzles, practices Tai Chi and is a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.


 

            

 

 

 

 

Mary Ann Rivera
Registered Dental Hygienist

 

 

 

 

Mary Ann is the 5th of 7 children in her family native to San Diego. She has been involved in the dental field since 1980 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She continued her education by completing the Southwestern College Dental Hygiene Program in 2004 and is now a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is currently a member of the Dental Hygiene Program Advisory Committee at Southwestern College as well as a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

Together with her husband, Aurelio, they have six children and three grandchildren, three who are still at home: Vincent whose heading to off to UC Santa Cruz, her daughter Alissa a very accomplished young lady starting her junior year in high school, and lastly Adan, her 2 year old ball of energy. In her spare time…oops.. She HAS no spare time! She still manages to be there for all family events including track and cross-country meets, soccer and baseball games. Hobbies include, watching the NBA and salsa dancing with her husband.


  

           

 

 

 

 

 

Tammi Yoro
Registered Dental Hygienist

 

 

 

 

Tammi is a San Diego native and her career within the dental field began in 1995, as a Registered Dental Assistant. After twelve years of providing patient care within a general dental practice, she decided to further her education and was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at San Joaquin Valley College. Tammi's decision to become a Dental Hygienist was based on her commitment and respect for the dental field. She finds patient care very rewarding and the only thing she imagines herself working within. She believes that she plays a vital role in reducing dental disease by providing treatment and dental health education to those in need.

Through experience and ongoing continuing education, Tammi strives to become the best skilled clinician that she can possibly become and always remain an advocate for the dental hygiene field. When she doesn't have dentistry on her mind, she enjoys her time with her loving family which consists of her supportive husband Jerry, and their combined family of four children, two dogs and a few reptiles. Between having a challenging career and a busy home life that can be exhausting at times; she loves her life and wouldn't change it for anything.
